A flagship retail store renovation for a luxury fashion brand on the outskirts of Paris, France that refreshes the architectural order and materiality of classical Parisian architecture and fashion. The remodel and renovation maintains and enhances the materials and structure of the original building, while still modernizing the project and integrating historical change and practical adaptation.
The remodel integrates a palette of in-situ concrete, exposed brick, and smooth plaster walls, balancing historic character with refined contemporary detailing. Original wood floors were restored and complemented with new oak planks on upper levels, while upgraded building systems were discreetly integrated to support modern use without compromising the space’s essential material honesty.
